Our friends at Sleepy Bear Mining (California Desert Districts’ Premier Placer Gold Mine) located in Randsburg, CA has invited American Prospector Treasure Seeker and welcomed us to invite you to join them on Friday, May 11th 2012 for a fast paced, information packed mixer with special relevance to helping remedy the jobless state of Kern County and California, with emphasis on the mining industry. Sleepy Bear Mining is a woman owned mining company/placer gold mine, which when in full production will be the 3rd largest production gold mine in the California Desert District, and possibly the only production placer mine of its size in California.
In addition to the invitation extended to you and American Prospector, other invitees include: local news television stations, LA Times, Orange County Register, NPL News, The Outdoor Channel, The Gold Fever Show, Congressmen, Assemblywomen, District Supervisor(s), Senator(s), political candidates, Mining organizations, Off-road organizations, City council members from Ridgecrest, Bakersfield, and California City, Television Celebrities, concerned citizen groups, the Desert Advisory Council, Round Table Advisors, Friends of Jawbone, Public Lands for the People, Woman in Mining, vendors from Bakersfield, Ridgecrest, Lancaster, Victorville and Acton. Filmed by an Award Winning Hollywood Producer for a documentary.
The event will be open for questions and answers, some points to consider include:
* Do you know there are potentially thousands of high paying long-term jobs in California’s mining industry?
* Do you know California ranked almost last in the world for mining? (See Fraser Institute 2011 Mining Report on the contacts page at www.sleepybearmining.com.)
* Do you know California is one of the richest states for rare earths, precious metals and minerals in the world?
* There is no need for California to be in the financial position it’s in.
* Do you know that placer mining reclaims the land continuously? Nature is the placer mines partner.
This is your opportunity to meet your politicians and experts. Express that you would like to see mining in California and that you are tired of your land use being taken away. Off roaders, hikers, campers, mountain bikers, fishing & hunting enthusiasts, and last but not least recreational prospectors ~ this affects all of you, your land is being taken away, your rights are being taken away. Take this opportunity to ask questions, get answers and have the opportunity to respectfully have your voice heard. Sleepy Bear Mining is giving us a great opportunity to listen, learn and have our concerns
voiced and responded to. Let’s help ourselves as a community of outdoor enthusiasts; as concerned citizens of California’s economic state by attending this event and being active in its’ cause.
If you belong to a club or organization (prospecting, offroading, PLP, ect), we strongly urge you to wear your organizations t-shirts, hats and colors as we demonstrate our support to this event’s cause. Additionally, Joe welcomes you to bring a banner to hang at the event if your organization wishes to do so.
